Nursing a large coffee in a brand new day…

Ah, coffee! The actual stuff of life…

Reality chewing through the morning side of the day, slowly, methodically. My part of the world looking out on it.

My grateful little colony of 37.2-trillion cells, all lined up and looking out through my eyes. A magnificent, exquisite machine — trundling along in lockstep with the rest of the universe…

My lungs inhale deeply the sweet morning air. Jesus… It smells so fine!

Streets slightly wet, from last night’s rain, like a bright Leonid Afremov painting.

Ought-slash-ought — the day’s software is loaded successfully.

A beautiful day it is, in Old Town Bluffton, SC., at the Corner Perk Cafe as I sit outside in the morning breeze under a cobalt-blue sky. And watch. Beautiful days are as common here as beautiful people.

The coffee is a solvent, cutting the heavy layer of sleep in my brain, little by little.

It is post covid after all. And people are again filling up the world.

Free-agent (aka: retired). I've turned back into a teenager! (Except without all the angst… better hardware, too).
